Skip Hire

Skip hire services have been provided by the company to the region's commercial and domestic customers for over twenty years. We are of course fully licensed by the Environment Agency to transport, receive and process waste at our modern Recycling Centre in Carlton, Barnsley.

South Yorkshire and West Yorkshire are our main coverage areas. Barnsley, Wakefield, Sheffield, Rotherham, Huddersfield and Doncaster are all within comfortable reach of our own fleet of skip hire vehicles. For customers with wider-ranging requirements, we are able to offer regional and national skip hire services, utilising our own vehicles and those of carefully-selected partners throughout the country.

Recycling is highly important to us, enabling us to maintain our costs low. We recycle at least 85% of the waste we handle, sending as little to landfill as possible. This process is achieved through our new Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) which was installed in 2008 and is capable of sorting over 175,000 tonnes per year of mixed waste, overseen by experienced waste management professionals.

Our aim is to assist businesses in all aspects of waste management, providing a service that contributes to enhanced competitiveness for our customers, while offering peace of mind that their waste is responsibly disposed of. During these times of economic uncertainty, we continue to offer cost-effective solutions to the necessary problem of waste.

For domestic customers, we realise that the range of skip sizes available for hire can be confusing, but our friendly receptionists are happy to advise on the size of skip required for the amount of waste to be disposed of, please feel free to contact us. Similarly, if you are concerned that your desired skip, or the vehicle transporting it, may not fit into the space you have available, we can assist. We currently offer a wide variety of skip sizes:

• 2 tonne skip
• 2 ^1/2 tonne skip
• 3 tonne skip
• 4 tonne skip
• 5 tonne skip
• 6 tonne skip - "Small Builders' Skip"
• 8 tonne skip - "Large Builders' Skip"
• 10 tonne skip
• A range of rollon/rolloff skips - from 15 cubic yard to 50 cubic yard sizes. Please contact us for details.

For commercial customers, we also offer smaller containers that are easily maneuverable and ideal for areas where space is at a premium and compactable waste is being collected. These containers can be used as part of office recycling schemes, contact us for further details.

• Pre-paid refuse bags - for small amounts of waste where the customer lacks the space to use a wheelie bin. These bags typcially hold up to 8kg of waste, depending on the type of waste.
• 240 litre capacity containers - holding 2- 4 bin bags, or around 15kg.
• 660 litre capacity containers - holding roughly 8 - 10 bin bags of waste, or around 45kg.
• 1100 litre capacity containers - holding roughly 12 - 15 bin bags, or around 70kg.
• Front end loaders (FELs) - typically 8 cubic yards capacity, other sizes available.
