FAQ's

Which skip size is the right one for me?

If you are concerned about whether the waste you have ready for disposal is too big or small for the skip you have in mind, please don’t hesitate to contact our friendly staff, who will be happy to advise on your requirements.

We find that, if in doubt, it is generally better to order a larger skip rather than one that is too small. The costs involved in ordering a second skip would undoubtedly work out more expensive. As a guide, we publish information on the sizes of our skips on this website, including dimensions and capacity.

Do I need to complete any paperwork when hiring a skip?
Various legal responsibilities affect both the producer and disposer of any waste, which do require some amount of documentation. However, we take care of all possible paperwork, leaving the process as simple as possible for the customer.

For how long can I hire a skip?
Skips are typically hired out for seven days and the online ordering system on this website does not allow for longer than that. If, however, you wish to hold onto a skip for longer, or have finished with your skip before the seven days limit, please contact us to make other arrangements.

Why am I charged extra for placing a skip on a public highway?
In order to place a skip on a public highway, the skip must be fitted with lights and requires a permit from the local council, which the council charges for. We arrange these matters for the customer upon ordering, but doing so incurs a cost.

I don’t see my area listed on your website; do you deliver skips to my home/business?
In the interests of simplicity, we only list the most common areas we deliver to in our online ordering section. We do, however, deliver to most areas of Yorkshire, please contact us for further details.

I’m interested in a size/form of waste container that I don’t see on your website; do you offer any others?

We only include the most common sizes of containers on the website for online ordering, however, we can provide a much wider variety. Please contact us for further details.

I don't have a PayPal account; can you accept other payment methods to place an online skip hire order?
At the moment, all of our online orders are processed securely via PayPal. However, PayPal offers a service that allows users to pay with a credit card, without the need for a PayPal account. Upon reaching the PayPal payment stage in our online ordering process, please follow the instructions given under the heading "Don't have a PayPal account?" on the left of the page.

Do you have any employment opportunities at the moment?
All roles that we currently have available are listed in the Careers section of this website. We do also welcome speculative applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates; please send your CV to recruitment@dtsenviro.co.uk and we will be sure to contact you if we consider you suitable for any positions.
